Rankin & Sultan has experience successfully representing clients before the Massachusetts Parole Board. Preparing for a parole hearing can be as complex and time-consuming as preparing for a criminal trial. We carefully review the trial record and our client’s prison record, focusing on points of strength to emphasize and points of weakness to rebut. We prepare and present witnesses, including experts when appropriate. We spend many hours preparing our client to face lengthy and hostile grilling from the members of the Parole Board. We work closely with our client to put together and present a comprehensive release plan that will demonstrate to the Parole Board that our client is ready to be reintegrated into the community.
Rankin & Sultan also represents clients who are facing parole revocation. We will investigate the conduct that triggered a parole revocation hearing, vigorously challenge the allegations, if possible, and advocate for keeping our client from being sent back to prison. If you are facing a parole revocation hearing, contact us to review your case as soon as possible.
If you have been accused or convicted of a crime or believe that you may be under criminal investigation, you need to get legal advice as soon as possible. Far too often, unrepresented individuals trying to help themselves inflict irreparable harm instead.
Our mission is to marshal our skill and experience to protect the underdog – to even the playing field; to safeguard liberty, property, and sometimes life; and to champion fundamental principles of justice, equity, and human dignity.
