We persuaded the Suffolk Superior Court to grant relief from registration to our elderly client, who had previously been listed publicly on the internet for 18 years as a Level 3 based on a 30-year-old rape conviction, on grounds that SORB failed to give sufficient weight to expert evidence and scientific research regarding the effect of offense-free time in the community. Our client was removed from the SORB website and will not have to register at all.
