Federal Sentence Vacated on Appeal

Federal Sentence Vacated on Appeal

We successfully challenged our client’s federal sentence on appeal to the First Circuit Court of Appeals.  Our client, who pleaded guilty to a multi-count conspiracy indictment involving false identity documents, was sentenced to 75 months’ imprisonment. On appeal, we argued, among other things, that the district court failed to adequately explain its reasons for imposing that sentence.  The First Circuit agreed and remanded the case back to the district court for resentencing.
